“Good location”
I booked a free upgrade and ended up with a triple room in the annex that was spacious and comfy. There was plenty of hot water, air‑con, and the Wi‑Fi was excellent. The room had no tea‑making facilities. The breakfast staff and cleaners were all very friendly, though they didn’t speak much English, better than our Turkish. We had a continental breakfast of cheese, melon, hard‑boiled eggs, greens, preserves, and pastries, which we ate outside in the shady courtyard. The beach was a short walk away, with small supermarkets and good restaurants nearby. We used the adjacent hotel’s beach club for sunbeds and umbrellas. It was a longer walk to the water taxi, but local buses stopped outside the hotel. It would have helped to have a card in the room explaining how the lights turn on and how to open the room safe. The owners speak little English, so we didn’t realize the room key had to be inserted into a slot to switch the electricity on. The hotel probably needs a freshening up during the off season. There is no lift, so it’s hard work if you’re not fit and your room is on the 4th floor. There was a power cut on one of the days, but it came back on not long after we returned. It was outside the hotel’s control, but a notice would have been useful.
