I could order the breakfast exactly how I wanted – a huge variety and it was tasty. They plated everything nicely and served it right at the time I’d asked for. The only thing that bugged me was the bed; I’d have liked a headboard that could be raised.

The staff were super friendly and the food was solid, everything from breakfast to dinner hit the spot. The rooms and the whole building are tastefully decorated, and the garden feels like a little sanctuary. I can’t think of any downside.

Sleeping in an actual castle surrounded by a gorgeous park was a treat. The rooms are pretty bare‑bones, but that seems to be part of the whole concept and didn’t ruin the experience. Overall, I liked everything.
