Ace Hotel Kyoto

I stayed at an amazing and unique hotel. The room had a guitar we kept playing (hahaha). There was also a great collection of records. The room was comfortable, the bed was good, and the bathroom was efficient, modern, and very cozy. Breakfast was served under a lovely pergola in a carefully designed courtyard. The whole hotel screams innovation and polished beauty. The diamond was really nice. It’s close to everything, only a few minutes away. We barely used taxis or trains. Near the hotel (ask at reception) there’s a spa with out‑of‑the‑ordinary massages worth trying. Overall, Kyoto feels good for the soul, and so does this hotel. I have no complaints.

“A fun and comfortable place to stay for U.S. tourists.”

The vibe was cheerful, fun, and youthful (even though we weren’t). We loved it. The staff was incredibly helpful, making sure taxi drivers knew where to take us as non‑Japanese speakers and that we forwarded our luggage to the airport correctly. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant Kosa—very good—and loved the coffee at Stumptown. Nothing else to add.

“Uma boa localização e um bom pequeno-almoço.”

I liked the location! Very close to the metro and a few minutes’ walk from Rua Pontocho and the Nishiki market. I also really enjoyed the breakfast! It isn’t a buffet, but there are varied set menus that are delicious! 😋 The beds could be more comfortable, and the amenities should be better. Even the room slippers are missing… The value for money isn’t the best.
