“Prettig kleinschalig hotel in mooie omgeving.”
The surroundings are quiet, the rooms and beds are good, and the breakfast is tasty. The atmosphere is relaxed. When I arrived, the gate was closed.

We stayed in a recently renovated wedding‑style chateau with a spacious, clean room and a very hot, strong shower. Parking was ample, the grounds were mostly wooded with footpaths and even a chicken coop with about six chickens, plus an outside sleeping pod – quite odd. Finding the entrance was a hassle because the signage was terrible; we had to ask a local couple who walked right to it. The property was run by a middle‑aged couple who didn’t speak English, but I managed with my basic O‑level French. We’d booked dinner for Sunday, but there was no other option – we were the only guests that night. The meal started with carrot soup, followed by a white fish that was frozen and served in a leftover lentil and vegetable casserole, and an ice‑cream dessert, all for €40 each – a ripoff. Wine was included, but the wife knocked my glass over while serving the main course, then used a dirty tea towel on top of the wet tablecloth for me to finish eating. Not a happy bunny.

The whole place is impeccably maintained, everything is spot on. The room, the building, and the surroundings all radiate calm, making it a lovely spot to rest after a long journey. We dined there in the evening – it was delicious and well presented. The breakfast was more than good. The owners are friendly, and parking is safe on the property behind the château walls. Everything was fine!

A quiet, private, and beautiful place, though the host only spoke French, which made communication a bit difficult.
