The reception was very friendly and breakfast was delivered to the room, and the value for money was excellent. The only downside was the distance and especially the uphill climb to reach the Bastide de Domme on foot.

The room was very clean, there’s free public parking behind the house, and the location is perfect for exploring the Périgord Noir; breakfast was great and the hospitality was excellent.

The host’s welcome was excellent and he also gave great advice. Breakfast service ran from 8 h to 9 h (a bit tight when you’re on holiday), and he offered to drop a tray for us. The room was clean, pleasant, with a separate toilet, but there was no daylight in the bathroom. You can park on a public lot behind the house. Breakfast was sparse, a thermos would have been useful for coffee, and we had to leave before 10 h to free the room.
