I stayed at this hotel two years ago and it was a quiet, green, beautiful place with few people, a secluded corner. This year the grass on the grounds was dry and yellow, giving the impression that no one takes care of the property. I spent several days and encountered many inconveniences, and most importantly every extra service required cash; nothing could be paid by card, and this was not clearly stated at check‑in or in the description. We spent two hours at check‑out with staff looking for an ATM nearby, only to find out that my bank had blocked overseas cash withdrawals, so we had to go into restaurants and beg staff to use a terminal to give us cash—an absolute nightmare. The room had no fridge, no kettle, nothing, only water, and there was no trash bin. There was no direct beach exit; you have to leave the hotel and walk along the road for about 10 minutes. I wanted to extend my stay for a couple of days but the hotel was full, so I had to move to Desa Cabins nearby, where the price was lower and there were many more amenities: fridge, kettle, appliances, dishes, snacks, minibar, coffee, tea, and unlimited coffee in the shared kitchen, a large fridge with various drinks that you can take anytime, a separate massage room where a Balinese prana massage woman threw a mattress on the floor in my room and the massage went on like that—pretty bad for the price. There is a separate beach exit at Desa, 2 minutes on foot, and everything on the property is within 10 minutes, green and well maintained. I thought it was off‑season, so the yellow and dry look was expected, but it turns out no one cares. Overall, I didn’t like it at all; no service, mediocre breakfast, and the banana pancake was just a thin pancake.
