The place is very pretty, but I couldn't sleep because there was no light, and they charged me $50 for the air conditioning that wasn't used because there was no electricity; they use a plant and didn't provide the service I paid for.

The view is great and the pool is nice. The location is about 5 minutes from the beach, and the neighborhood is very quiet. The coffee maker has no filters, and the streets near Main Street are in bad shape once you get to the house.

The room I stayed in was stunning, especially the view of the pool and the skyline overlooking the beach. Jesse, the owner, answered my texts quickly and was very attentive. Two staff members welcomed us, and the gentleman—though I can’t recall his name—made sure I had everything I needed; I even had to challenge him a bit, and he spoke several languages. If you’re looking to escape the bustle of American cities, I highly recommend this place and the presidential suite. My only gripe was that the Wi‑Fi was a little spotty, probably because of the storm during my visit. I also wish the property had a bar and grill, but it seems to be in the works. The road leading to the hotel felt a bit scary during the storm, though that’s unrelated to the hotel itself.

I was told the room I was trying to book was no longer available, and after that I had no internet connection. When I arrived in Sosúa and checked into another place I found a confirmation for a booking I didn’t know I had made, and it couldn’t be cancelled without paying. I never actually stayed there, but I was left with a lot of annoyance, stress and irritation instead of relaxation, and I was charged $50 for that.
