The entire staff was always very friendly, helpful, and tried hard to answer and fulfill all questions and wishes. When we got out of the elevator on the 4th floor, a very unpleasant smell hit us immediately—mushy and bad air. The room also smelled very bad on first entry. We thought airing it out would help, but after closing the sliding door, the bad smell (mushy…) returned quickly. The carpet had many stains and it was clear how many years old it was. In the bathroom there was dust and grime in the bathtub. The beds were very, very deep so I felt like I was lying on the ground; because I have knee problems, getting up was especially hard. I was also surprised there was no ceiling light, and the standing lamp or desk lamp had no on/off switch; to turn it on I had to plug it in, to turn it off I had to unplug it. However, there was a lamp on the bed that could be switched on and off. The beds were unfortunately so far from the nightstand that my sleep‑apnea device fell off at night and broke. Very annoying, but I should have seen that. The breakfast buffet was okay, but I missed the bread selection and all warm dishes like scrambled eggs were almost cold. Even at the start of breakfast time it was not better. Very sad. I cannot recommend the hotel. The negative points are too many. Also the advertising with 9 sauna offers may be true in winter, but for me and my husband only three were usable.
