The room lacked a fridge, even a small one, and there was no “DO NOT DISTURB” sign to hang outside or at least a knock before opening the door with the key fob, because I got a slap and my wife was in a bra.

The hotel’s layout isn’t bad, and the furnishings look fairly new. The room was cramped, the breakfast was thin, and the location was awful—just a metre and a half from the road edge, with a window overlooking a street that’s always full of cars and trucks. The traffic noise at night was relentless, as if the vehicles were passing right over our heads, and it kept us from sleeping at all.
