“Very good”
The room and property were very clean, and the hotel offered plenty of free parking. Located in a good area, it was exceptionally quiet. The only downside was the price, which felt high because it was Labor Day weekend.

The location was great, especially for a busy weekend like Labor Day, and it’s close to the highway. The room was simple but clean, and opening windows on both sides provided a nice breeze that made the AC unnecessary. The downside was that the bathroom door sagged and didn’t close fully unless you “carried” it into place, and the shower door also didn’t close completely, leaving the floor wet after morning showers. Keeping the windows open for cooling and ventilation exposed us to early‑morning car and street noises because our room was closest to the road; rooms farther back might not have this issue.

Honestly, I didn’t like much except that I could park right in front of the door. From the moment I opened the door, the room smelled very musty, the window screens were ripped, the beds were squeaky and uncomfortable, and the carpet clearly needed replacement. I avoided walking barefoot because the bed still had visible ripped plastic. The bathroom didn’t feel clean, there was no air‑conditioning, and the fan barely helped. The shower was the worst part: it would switch from hot to cold constantly, making for horrible showers. I was really disappointed, especially since I only stayed one night and paid nearly $300—crazy.

The motel was close to our relatives in Marina, and I appreciated that you could park your car right outside the room. The only negative was that the room lacked air conditioning, but the proximity to the ocean provided a breeze if you left the windows open.

I arrived at midnight from Sequoia, so I didn’t really explore the place. No other issues.
