We had a very nice stay and were upgraded to a golf‑course view that was lovely and peaceful to look over; the staff were fabulous and welcoming, even on our departure, and the room featured high‑end toiletries that smelled divine in a huge space. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

The Sands sits in an excellent spot, close to walking tracks, the beach, and not too far from the main town area; we dined at the restaurant and found the food, service, and staff lovely, and because the accommodation wasn’t full we received an upgrade; we’ll keep coming back to The Sands when in Torquay.
