I love how close everything is—cafe and restaurants just a stroll away, parking is a breeze, and the nights were super quiet. It did get a bit chilly, but the extra blankets they handed out made it all right. I wish they’d add some photos of NZ or Kiwiana on the walls to feel more at home, but otherwise there’s nothing to complain about!

The room was spacious with a comfy bed, though the TV had no signal—no big deal since I was out most of the time. The wood floor could get cold in winter, but the heater they supplied worked fine for late August. The area outside the hotel could use a bit of sprucing up, yet overall it’s great value and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the narrow corridor leading to the rooms.

The location is convenient and parking is good. The heating was a problem: the first two heaters didn’t do enough, but the third one finally warmed us up. Also, the lights on one side of the room were broken.

The place is in a perfect spot and offers good value. The high ceilings and oil‑fin heater left the room chilly; the electric blanket helped only while in bed. A microwave would have been handy, and a fan could aid the heating.
