The place was completely isolated, though taxis wouldn't reach the farm to take us down to the village. The pool was infested with fleas that bit everyone we were with. Inside the house it was scorching hot, with no air conditioning, only fans. The layout was poorly arranged; there was a room in the middle of a corridor that led to the upper level. A €400 deposit was required (which we received back) via Bizum or cash, with no security or contract in front of us. The check‑in method, which relied on photos of documents, felt unreliable.

“Super vakantiehuis!!”

It was a fantastic house with privacy because the entire property was ours alone. The pool was large enough and had a great temperature. There were several spots where you could retreat. The friendly host was available 24/7 for questions and responded quickly, which was a definite plus. However, there were three showers/bathrooms as described, but only one in the main house had hot water. The other two, in the annex, had only cold water. Adjusting to use the hot‑water bathroom with seven people was a bit of a challenge (the other showers were too cold to stand in), but that was just a minor criticism. We managed fine.

What a gem! Finca Jabali is a beautiful property, brilliantly positioned on a mountain slope amid a vast olive grove near Tortosa. The peace, nature, and charm make it an ideal base to reconnect with yourself. The accommodation is stylishly furnished in an authentic, rustic style, yet it offers all modern comforts. The pool is a blissful spot to cool down and relax, and the common areas are surprisingly well equipped. There’s a play area with a snooker table, a foosball table, and even toys for the littlest ones – perfect for families with kids. In short, a delightful place for those who love tranquility, nature, and an authentic atmosphere with good facilities. Highly recommended! The less pleasant aspects were the flies and gnats coming from the nearby horse stables on the adjoining property. At certain times of day, like when sunbathing, this could be quite bothersome. In the evenings there were also a fair number of mosquitoes, of which two of our guests were clearly the favorites – they were constantly bitten, while the rest suffered less. Because of this insect nuisance, we couldn’t always enjoy the beautiful outdoor facilities in complete peace, which was disappointing.
