The place was peaceful and gorgeous, right by the river—definitely the coolest cabin I’ve seen! My kids had a blast pretending in that beautiful cabin, and the staff were incredible. The food was amazing too, and everything felt just right.

It was incredibly peaceful and stunning. Juanita cooked wonderfully, and we savored every minute. Mike, the host, was the kindest and gentlest person I’ve met; our chats were fun, and getting to know the lovely locals and their beautiful country was a highlight. We were also close to amazing ruins and natural adventures, making every minute worthwhile.

The housekeeping was very friendly, and the taxi to San Ignacio wasn’t far. Swimming in the river was enjoyable, and there was plenty of wildlife; the rooms were very comfortable. However, the reception, the paths, and the little swimming ladder needed updating.

The setting was nice by the river. It was very kind of them to provide free drinking water, as it would be quite difficult to buy given its out of town location. Hammocks by the river were very nice. The breakfast was quite expensive for what it was and a little awkward to arrange to eat so early to be able to leave for the tours. Additional house keeping would be useful when staying more than 2 nights
