Miracle view Ella

“A stunning location and wonderful hosts!”

The views were stunning and the place was a quiet retreat; Lakshan and his mother made us feel at home, even offering lifts into Ella town. Breakfasts were delicious, freshly cooked, and generous. The location is hard to reach because of a steep slope at the top, but Lakshan offered lifts and we walked into Ella and back several times. There are also good restaurants within a 7‑15 minute walk.

If the photos appeal, once you’re inside the house you’ll like it even more; the surroundings are wonderful, absolute tranquility, spectacular views, and the house is beautiful. The local breakfast is hearty, and the owner is very friendly. Everything is great; the distance to the center is visible when booking, so that isn’t a negative point.

“Miracle View, and what a View!”

Lakshan was the most accommodating host at Miracle View, welcoming us from the moment we arrived. The accommodation sits at the top of a rough terrain track, but don’t worry—Lakshan has a Tuk Tuk ready to lift you up unless you don’t mind a short hilly walk. The breakfast was beautiful, a traditional Sri Lankan spread full of flavor that enhanced the whole experience. We left early and Lakshan was extremely kind, giving us fruit, water, milk, and bread to take on our journey. Highly recommend staying at Miracle View!

“Fantastic location on the Top of the Hill with a very helpful host!”

The host was very nice and helpful, picking us up from Ella Town when we couldn’t get transport for the family. The place was very clean. The only small issue is that the last 100 meters to the location are very steep and Tuk‑Tuk drivers sometimes refuse to drive up the final stretch… but if you walk those last meters you’re rewarded with a “Miracle View.”
