Located at 1,500 metres above sea level right next to the ski slope, Alpenhotel Marcius is only 80 metres away from the nearest lift in the Nassfeld ski area. The Marcius features a spa area with an indoor pool, 2 Finnish saunas, a steam bath, and a relaxation room. There is also a children’s playground, a playroom, and a ski storage room. Half-board at Alpenhotel Marcius comprises a breakfast buffet and a 3-course dinner.

The dinner was like a bad cafeteria: people served themselves like animals, and almost all the Norwegian dishes were missing food. Breakfast was bland and incomplete. Guests filled their trays and left no crumbs. All this, plus the questionable cleanliness of the kitchen and the chefs' skill level, made me doubt the food quality; everything seemed frozen.

Typical alpine hotel near the slopes; the room was roomy, clean, the bathroom new, everything functional. Breakfast and dinner offered limited choices and only average quality.

We arrived by motorcycle—four people, three bikes, all parked in a spacious garage that opened straight into the room, which was fantastic. The reception was friendly. Dinner buffet was very good, and the breakfast selection was plenty. The room was nice, the beds were top quality, and we slept well. I would stay there again on a layover.
