The location was excellent, but the hotel was extremely shabby. The bathroom was dirty, with the previous guest’s dirty dental floss by the sink. It was airless, windowless, small, and shabby – outdoor windows were boarded up and there were no indoor facilities.

The location was great. The staff were lovely everywhere. They offered help and were exceptionally kind.

The lift access to central Oxford is unbeatable, and the place is very quiet and spotless. The bathroom lock was broken and the door wouldn’t shut, which made the shared twin room feel less secure, and our blinds were also broken.

Honestly, there was nothing good to mention. The hotel pretends to be five‑star but the room is awful, the staff are rude, it smells bad, it’s noisy, and it’s far too expensive. There’s no restaurant, no lobby, and the entrance is weird for a five‑star.
