I loved the wine bar and on‑site restaurant, and breakfast was amazing as well! The location is great for Sienna and San Gimignano, and the staff were amazing.

Castello di Fonterutoli Wine Resort, a medieval Tuscan village, sits 5 km outside Castellina in Chianti. Elegant rooms with private bathrooms are scattered across the grounds. A wine cellar and restaurant offer wine tastings and traditional Tuscan cuisine. Breakfast features a buffet of pastries, hot dishes, and cold cuts. Siena is 20 minutes away, with buses stopping 200 metres from the village centre.

The place was amazing; we didn’t expect such a great experience, but we were given a room like anywhere else and still received an incredible stay. The hospitality felt like staying in the owners’ village, the building and surroundings were different, as if we’d gone back in time with all the comforts. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast too. The staff were amazing and the service level was very high.

Absolutely wonderful. The location and the beauty of the property are exceptional. What impressed me most was the renovation and the way they have beautifully combined traditional architecture with modern comfort while preserving the authentic character of the original buildings. The staff were excellent, genuinely warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, and the view from my window was simply stunning. The beautiful weather and surroundings made the whole experience even more memorable. Everything came together perfectly. This was one of those places where you genuinely enjoy simply being there. I can’t think of anything else; my only regret is that I couldn’t stay much longer.

Breakfast satisfied everything to the maximum, it was generous and fresh! The service was extremely kind and friendly! The restaurant focuses on special dishes and wines, there were no mistakes. The accommodation and surroundings give a true Tuscan vibe. Nothing unpleasant; the check‑in and check‑out were fine, but the parking requires a short walk, which is an experience you have to accept. The place is small, so it can only offer that option.
