Paola Gozi, a direct descendant of the Gozzi family that owned the buildings since the 1300s, runs it. It sits in the historic center, flanked by the cathedral on one side and the government building on the other, and using the gondola for luggage works well.

The house is incredible, unlike anything I've seen before; it feels like living in an old castle, right in the heart of San Marino’s old town.

The location is perfect for discovery walks, the rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed, but the stair entrance was so steep that bringing luggage up was a struggle. Breakfast was listed on the website but only one option was available in the room, while the others were at the café and not good.
