The historic building is stunning, the grounds are well maintained, and sitting on the porch is a must; breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and informative, and honestly there is nothing about our stay that I don’t like.

The room and house were very beautiful and English‑style, the morning breakfast was warm with other guests around a decorated table, the quiche was delicious, Tamara was very kind and welcoming, and parking was available in front of the house.

I spent last night at Downen House Bed and Breakfast and felt like I’d stumbled into a slice of Nirvana. The place is kept to a very high standard—spotlessly clean and every detail seems intentional. My bed felt like a cloud, with high‑threadcount sheets and a top‑quality mattress that made me feel at ease. I enjoyed every minute of the stay and can’t wait to come back. Tammy and Scott were exceptional hosts, always ready to help. The breakfast was superb, and Tammy’s conversation was a highlight. No complaints at all.
