I absolutely loved my stay at Garden View Resort in Tonsai and would happily stay here again; the setting is incredible—tucked away in the jungle with spectacular views from the balcony, it was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly the atmosphere I was looking for; the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the bathroom was also large and spotless; the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, picking me up from Tonsai Beach upon arrival and transporting my luggage up to the resort, and when I checked out they carried my luggage all the way back down to the beach, which was greatly appreciated; a couple of things to know before you book: I highly recommend bringing a backpack instead of a suitcase; when the long‑tail boat drops you off from Ao Nang, you’re literally stepping onto the beach, and you’ll need to walk along the sand to the café where the resort staff can pick you up, a backpack makes this much easier; the rooms don’t have hot water or kettles, although they do have a small refrigerator; the cool shower wasn’t an issue most of the time because the weather is so hot and humid; during a couple of cooler, rainy days, I did wish the water had been a little warmer, but it certainly didn’t take away from my stay; overall, Garden View Resort offers an amazing jungle experience with beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding hospitality; I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tonsai who wants a peaceful place to stay surrounded by nature.
