The staff were very helpful when we arrived. The room was peaceful, comfortable, and well equipped. The bathroom was lovely. Breakfast was fabulous, especially the bacon, and the chef was flexible and friendly. The view from the patio doors was relaxing. Parking on site was super secure.

It looked great from the photos and at first glance, but soon it was clear that things weren’t as they seemed. No food was available that night. The shower leaked, there was no floor mat so it was a serious slip hazard, and the shower was grimy. The duvets were only suitable for a child and didn’t even reach the end of the bed! The green light prevented any sleep. The TV remote didn’t work, and the walls were filthy with grime.

The location was peaceful, even though it was a lively pub. The food was lovely, and the best Full English Breakfast we’ve had in a long time, especially the bacon. The pork was raised on site. The room was cool and comfortable without needing the air‑con. The bathroom was nice with decent products. The bed was comfortable, though firm. The young, enthusiastic staff were very helpful and friendly. The chef at breakfast was great. Dinner was delicious, and I recommend the pies and cauliflower starter. The wine selection was good. The only issues were that the patio doors in room 4 were stuck and needed a good shove to open, and the window by the TV wasn’t secure – small problems, no real complaints.

The location is in a pub garden – what more could you want? The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was really lovely, with a quaint sink and a huge, powerful shower.
