Located on the outskirts of Waterford city centre, the Woodlands Hotel & Leisure Centre offers a tranquil retreat just 15 minutes from Waterford Airport. The hotel features 20-metre pool, spa bath, steam room, sauna, and a large gymnasium, along with a hair and beauty salon. Guests can dine at the Brasscock bar or Arbutus Restaurant, serving carvery, bar food, and local produce.

The staff were amazing, yet the bar seats up the stairs were very uncomfortable, and all the seats beside the big screen were bad. When the gardai came to the hotel to remove two guests who had been shouting and banging from 7.30 to 11 in the room next to us, it was not exactly ideal; both were arrested, shouting, and banging, causing a major disruption to my and my wife's sleep. I know it wasn't the hotel's fault.

I thought the price was a good deal, but the bar layout was really poor.

The breakfast experience was poor, with only two staff who were exhausted and struggled to restock, and the food quality was not very good. On the morning of 27.9.26 a severe rain downpour hit the externally facing side of the room, soaking my cousin’s bed and forcing her to move; one lift was out of order so we used the second, which led to the basement that had no lights and was flooded.

Choosing this hotel was fantastic, the breakfast was lovely, and there were no faults; the staff were welcoming and the service excellent.
