Right next to the event venue I was attending, and also close to a train stop; a train from Bordeaux takes about 30 minutes. The location is ideal for the nearby event, but it’s best to travel by car because there are no stores or anything close by.

The spot was fantastic and the breakfast was very good; the room was spacious and clean; the staff were very kind and helpful; the downside was that the room faced the back toward the station.

I loved the alternative vibe, it was super cool, but there was no option for food or snacks.

The location in the Medoc area is ideal for touring this and other chateaux and for wine tasting; the continental breakfast at the chateau was good, and a railway stop sits right next to the chateau; several good restaurants are nearby, but you should book a return ride if you plan to use Uber later in the evening, as they become scarce; Au Marqui de Terme is a great restaurant close by; you need to be careful about taxis and Ubers later at night, so book a return journey if you eat out.
