“Riad semplice e tranquillo, con autentica ospitalità marocchina”
The small riad is simple, well‑maintained, and quiet. It’s inside the Medina, about a 10–13‑minute walk from Jemaa El‑Fna square, so it’s fairly peaceful. Inside the Medina, Google Maps isn’t very reliable; the main alley leading to the riad has an initial sign, but finding the exact door isn’t immediate. Luckily, a few days before arrival, the host Farida gave us her phone number for emergencies and told us she could meet us at the square if needed. Our room was clean and quite spacious, with hooks and shelves for clothes and accessories, a feature not always found in Moroccan accommodations. The shower, made of masonry with a curtain, kept the bathroom dry. The Moroccan breakfast was excellent, prepared by Farida daily at the time we told her the day before. She was very caring throughout our stay: she offered us mint tea on arrival, gave us several brochures about activities, and even recommended a less touristy hammam with reasonable prices. The shower mixer and pipe sometimes made the water sputter and were hard to adjust, but that was a minor issue.
