We loved everything at Evelyn: the quietness, the distance from the city, a taxi that took us there for 500 ksh, just under 4 € (no haggling). The room was perfect, very clean, and the mattresses were very comfortable. The shared bathroom was spacious and well maintained. The vegetable plot and orchard were superb. Breakfast was a delight— the best chapatis in all of Kenya! We were lucky to share it with Evelyn and her family, which made for a lovely exchange and conviviality. Most importantly, Evelyn herself is incredibly kind. We reached out to her a few days before arrival to help us arrange a safari to the Masai Mara; she found a charming game drive with a driver and guide. It was a wonderful encounter—you can go in confidence and leave with a heart full of love, and probably a little heavy because you can’t stay longer. I almost forgot the price, which is unbeatable for such services. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
