“I absolutely loved it and will explore another option to stay in. The perfect place to unplug.”
I was blown away by the special vibe and the stunning spot. My tent felt like its own little oasis, and the chill in the mornings was perfect even though it was the middle of summer. The trails are close by and the river’s sound comes right into the tent—so peaceful. The shower setup was impressive and the layout works well for slower movers. Parking right next to the tent kept my food and gear safe. I was solo, felt safe and at peace. The nearby Mishawaka Amphitheater and restaurant were convenient, and the free shuttle for Riverside guests was a nice touch. If you’re staying in a tent, bring a head lamp or a dimmer lamp instead of the bright lantern, and maybe a small battery‑operated fan for extra coolness. Use the car to charge anything since there’s no electricity in the tent. I bought a gallon of water for $4, which could have been $2 at the store. Walking to the river for quiet moments is a treat. It’s a great spot to rest, reset, and unplug. You can pick from tents, tiny homes, or container homes, and the tents closer to the river offer more privacy and that soothing river sound. I’ll definitely come back. The only downside was the unreliable wifi—if you need to stay connected for work or navigation, you’ll have to keep switching until it finally sticks. Don’t expect to host a Zoom call; it won’t work.
