I’m grateful there are still motels that haven’t sold out, and thanks to the staff who keep them running; the spot is perfect, far from the city noise, surrounded by cornfields, with a parking spot right outside the door, and I was welcomed with a smile. There was nothing to complain about; it was perfect.

The location was perfect for my trip, right in the heart of the city, but the motel itself was a different story. Walking in, I was hit with the smell of old carpet and stale air. The room was small but clean, which was a plus, but the outdated decor and worn-out furniture made it feel like I was staying in a time capsule. Despite the motel's age, the staff were friendly and helpful, which made up for some of the motel's shortcomings.
