The premises were tidy, the staff friendly and enthusiastic, the room spacious with a comfortable bed, and it was very close to the airport with easy transport options. The only downside was that the buffet didn’t offer a wide enough variety.

“Stay away from this hotel to avoid being ripped off.”

The hotel’s soundproofing was poor; on the 9th floor I couldn’t sleep because I could hear traffic from the street, and the hotel sits on a busy intersection. From day one the price for a club sandwich and pineapple juice was outrageous – the pineapple and the sandwich bread were imported and taxed, and the menu prices didn’t include taxes, so I ended up paying about $23 for a sandwich and a pineapple juice, taxes included. After that, I never ate in any of the hotel restaurants again; I always went out instead. I booked in US dollars, but the hotel wouldn’t accept them and instead charged me in Bangladeshi Taka at a higher-than-market exchange rate, adding extra bank fees on top of the exchange loss. Don’t stay here if you want to avoid being ripped off.

“Excellent.”

Breakfast was good, the rooms were very clean and the beds were my favorite part. The staff were helpful and cooperative, and the rooftop pool was excellent; I ate there with friends and the city view was great. The location is on a very busy road, so even from the 7th floor I could hear traffic; better soundproofing would help. The wash basin was only at the entrance, making it feel like a washroom.
