The owners were very friendly and accommodating; we booked two excursions through the hotel, and Siri was a great driver and guide. Our best experience in Sri Lanka—everything was clean, except for a few spider webs and ants. The food was very tasty, and we felt very comfortable. The fridge could have been cleaner, but overall a high‑level complaint.

I enjoyed a comfortable two‑night stay at Lake Wave Hotel. Milan arranged a reliable, sweet guide and a last‑minute taxi. Breakfast was fresh Sri Lankan cuisine, and I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a homely, relaxed stay.

The host is simply the best you could ask for, and we absolutely love staying here thanks to Milan and his mum. They’re incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to accommodate any special requests. The breakfast, prepared entirely at home, was truly magnificent, and his mum’s talents in art and sewing added a lovely touch—we even bought some pieces to bring home. The setting is beautiful and the people are amazing. We’re so happy with our stay!

Milan is an excellent host who helped us plan and organize all our activities, even arranging a safari to Wilpattu. He introduced us to our guide Siri, who showed us many special sights! Highly recommended. His mother cooked wonderfully for us. Nothing else to add.
