The Royal Blue Resort & Spa Crete

“A very pleasant place to spend a few days or a week, offering good value for money.”

A beautiful and tranquil hotel. The location is quite remote, but with a car you can easily visit Rethymno, nearby villages, hiking trails, and other sights. We had a room with a shared pool, which was great—some privacy, yet still close to the beach and other amenities. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good quality, with plenty of choices. The reception staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely did their best to resolve the room issues we encountered. There seems to be quite a bit of variation in room quality and overall experience. We ended up changing rooms twice. The first room was very noisy, as it was near a maintenance entrance. The second had a terrible sewage smell coming into the room from somewhere. We also tried all the à la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner, but found them a bit pricey and the food somewhat uninspiring.

The kids’ club was really nice, the food was good. The location was very, very remote from the airport and any civilization. We had an unpleasant incident there, so I’m not that much of a recommendation.

“Wonderful summer holiday stay”

We enjoyed private beach access and a great restaurant with plenty of food choices, plus a buffet that was excellent. The staff were accommodating, the amenities plentiful for the whole family, and the place was clean – a truly wonderful summer holiday in Crete for us. We stayed in September, so there were fewer tourists.

I stayed at a place that calls itself a spa, but it really only offers a tiny sauna and a damp hammam. The gym also needs a makeover, yet the location, expansive grounds, and beach are solid positives.

“Reposant”

Les chambres très grandes, accès facile aux infrastructures. Accès direct à la plage. Personnels très professionnels et serviables Buffets variés ( pt dej et souper) Facilités pour les familles. Peu de plat végétarien Les boissons chers et le rapport qualité prix des restaurants de plages et piscines Il Ne faisait pas beau et il n y a pas beaucoup d activités lors de temps gris et pluvieux
