We fell in love with it—stunning view, wonderful and warm host, a surprising place to stay a few days. In San Augustin there’s a great restaurant and we enjoyed a lovely local festival.
“Bonito lugar, pésima atención al huésped”
The estate is pretty, quiet, and well‑maintained, especially at night with its lighting, gardens, and lawn, which is charming. It’s clear the place is geared toward weddings and celebrations, and the surroundings inside the property are pleasant. The worst part was the guest service. Before booking I asked about the beds and mattresses because I was recovering from an injury and needed that info before paying, but I got no reply. I called later and was told someone would answer, but that never happened. When we arrived about an hour early, a lady greeted us very unkindly, scolding us for being too early. Because we hadn’t checked in online, she told us to do that and come back later. From the start we felt like a nuisance. The estate is fairly isolated and you have to travel several kilometres to the village, some on an uncomfortable road. We explicitly asked about dinner options and were told a menu would be sent, but it never came. They also said they would provide a pool towel for my companion, but that didn’t happen either. Another couple staying there mentioned the same issue: they didn’t know what dinner or drinks were available. When we arrived, the pool was under maintenance and we couldn’t use it until the afternoon. Throughout our stay we missed basic guest care and information. No one explained what services were available, where we could order drinks or food, or offered breakfast options. We had to go to the village for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s a shame because the estate has charm and potential, but we felt the focus was more on events than on the guests staying there.
We enjoyed the peace and everything was clean and well kept. The only downside was the abundance of wasps, which is understandable given its rural setting.
“Härlig getaway med pool i mysig romantisk omgivning”
We really liked staying in the Africa room: comfy bed, nice furniture, a patio, a fantastic pool and large garden. Dogs were welcome. Breakfast was amazing, though there’s no regular restaurant on site, so for dinner you’re told to call at reception and pick from options like quiche, charcuterie plate, fruit salad, and ice cream. The wines were good. They specialize in events like weddings. Since it’s close to Madrid and easy to reach by car, we’ll definitely come back.
“Un sitio precioso para relajarte y disfrutar”
The spot is beautiful and a great place to stroll, offering a stay that feels different from the usual. The rooms are lovely and make you want to stay longer. A mini fridge in the room would be great, especially with the summer heat. The path to the estate is a gravel road full of potholes, making access quite uncomfortable.
