Even though we arrived very late in the evening, we were still able to order à la carte in the restaurant, enjoying a wonderful seafood dinner with almost unbeatable value. About 35 minutes from the airport, easy to reach. Free parking directly in front of the hotel. Water and tea in the room are free. The room is very large and very clean. The breakfast room is in the basement—despite efforts to make it cozy, the slightly oppressive “basement feel” remains; there are no windows.

The night porter was incredibly friendly and attentive, yet the overall courtesy, flexibility and understanding expected of a 5‑star hotel were seriously lacking; our emails went unanswered, and when we asked in person at arrival we were told our requests couldn’t be met, while the Guest Relations Manager only contacted us after we had left. When we complained about the room’s cleanliness they claimed we hadn’t asked for cleaning, and no follow‑up cleaning or improvement was offered, which is unacceptable for a property of this stature. Breakfast on the first day was served at the table but not as we requested—just a pre‑assembled plate, and the cappuccino came in a paper cup with a wooden stirrer. On day 2 there was a buffet and the egg dishes were again served, but on day 3 they suddenly disappeared, allegedly because the kitchen was overloaded with guests. No tables were set by 9 am on any day, and the cutlery arrived only after the egg dishes on the first two days. Photos show the egg dishes prepared one day and the next, alongside dirty dishes and grime in the room. Apart from the night porter, the front‑desk staff were rude, pretended we hadn’t emailed, and denied the presence of a supervisor when pressed—utterly incompetent.
