The host welcomed us with such warmth that we felt right at home. His cooking was top‑notch—those dinners were the best part of our four‑week journey. The only hiccup was that you can’t pay by card; we had to wire the money on the last day, which was a hassle given how cautious the Argentine banking system can be.

We loved our stay at Criollo Lodge. The house is cozy and close to the Hoyo and Route 40, and Ariel with his family treated us like royalty, offering great tips on what to see. The dinner was delicious and the breakfast was hearty with a variety of dishes. We’ll definitely come back.
