I wanted a little solo adventure to recharge and liked the feel of camping without the setup—when this place appeared, it felt perfect! A small haven tucked away in a glorious spot. Tea on the deck in the morning was the highlight. I also visited Wirksworth, Matlock, and explored Cromford. A gorgeous place to stay. I suggested a few extra utensils and small tweaks to make the room even more comfortable, and the host was kind and receptive.

Absolutely nothing this property is not how it is described on here. It is literally a potting shed on someone's garden. The toilet and shower is in the out house attached to their house. You have their dog forever up and down. Your overlooked by a row of 10 plus terraced houses. Its dark and dingy and gives the feel your staying in your grandads shed. I complained about our stay and the owner continued to be rude and unhelpful about the situation arguing that her description is accurate of the place. The steps up and down to the toilet are unsafe and im disabled so we were unable to stay. I book this to have a night awau for a friend as it was the anniversary of her partners death and it ruined the whole night and experience. The hosts were lovely and we even had a BBQ on our last night. The hut met my cooking needs, and I was surprised to find a sofa bed instead of a regular bed, but it was very comfortable and I slept well. The private bathroom and shower had great water pressure and soft, pleasant water. The highlight was the private garden “living room” outside the hut, which gets morning sun, has lovely greenery, and a small pond with a frog. Thanks, guys 😊

The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The location is very close to local shops, pubs, food outlets, and within easy walking distance of Cromford Mill. There’s a lovely patio to sit on at night and early morning. Parking was hard to find, and the fold‑out sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The toilet and shower were a bit of a trek, especially at night, and could be problematic for those with mobility issues.
