We had a fantastic time at Hotel Diamond! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view and daily care. The pool is large and spotless, perfect for relaxation. Breakfast was truly excellent, with a wide variety and fresh products every day. The staff were polite, smiling, and always ready to help. The location is also very good, close to the piers and with easy access to the sea. We were completely satisfied with our stay and would definitely choose Hotel Diamond again for future holidays in Thasos. We recommend it without reservation!
The welcome was bad, with unsmiling faces. There was no water in the rooms, you had to fight mosquitoes, and the only friendly person was a middle‑aged lady who could only say “Good morning” and smile.
Our stay at Hotel Diamond exceeded all of our expectations. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with breathtaking views of both the sea and the village. Every area of the hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The swimming pool was fantastic—large, crystal clear, and perfect for relaxing. The jacuzzi was an excellent bonus. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious food every morning. There were boiled eggs, fried eggs, omelettes, cold cuts, pizza, pies, cheeses, fresh fruit, pastries, greek pies and many more options. Everything was fresh, plentiful, and constantly replenished. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly,always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the very first day. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will definitely return on our next visit to Thassos.We highly recommend Hotel Diamond to anyone looking for a relaxing, clean, and welcoming place to stay. It truly offers excellent value for money
“Great location poor quality and poor value”
We stayed at a family‑run hotel in a fantastic spot, about a 30‑minute drive from the ferry port, and our front‑of‑hotel room offered a view of the sea and hillside. The deluxe room was spacious, clean, and had a good‑sized balcony; fresh towels arrived daily and the bed linen was changed once during our six‑night stay. Hot water was plentiful and the shower was good. Breakfast was included, sufficient but repetitive. The pool area was very nice, with plenty of comfortable sun beds and seating. Wi‑Fi was good and fast. Unfortunately, the bathroom drainage was poor, producing strong sewage smells that drifted into our room. We handled this by using bleach, leaving water in the sink, and covering the shower drain with plastic bags. The beds felt too hard and the pillows were unusable. Room 202 was near a noisy kitchen extraction fan that started around 5:30 each morning, waking us early. There is a sewage treatment unit on the hotel grounds, next to the children’s play area, which is both noisy and smelly. While our room stayed relatively clean, the common areas were not; the lift buttons were gross and the floor in the breakfast room hadn’t been mopped or swept in a long time. The owners and staff seemed uninterested, and the reception was often unmanned, ignoring us when it was open. Keys were left lying around for anyone to pick up from the cleaning trolley, which was often unattended in the corridor. In short, this place falls far short of its potential; most issues could be fixed if the owners listened to our feedback. We stayed from 13th to 19th September, toward the end of the season, and felt the hotel was shutting down around us.

The location is wonderful, it has a lift, a decent breakfast, large rooms, a big balcony, a sea view, a unique landscape, and a very clean and beautiful pool. Those who want to go need to know that it is on a small hill, just below IRISGold, so to reach the beach you must be willing to climb the hill, and then another hill from the beach to the main road; the hosts posted pictures of the location with the beach in front of the hotel, with pebbles, so to get to the pier you have to drive up and reach it in about 5 minutes, but it’s not a big problem; there are very nice beaches in the area.
