“Okay for short stay”

The staff were friendly and the room was spotless, but the hotel sits on a busy street surrounded by car dealerships. While dogs are allowed, there’s no dedicated walking area and the only clean-up bags are available on request.

The place needs a complete lift upgrade; the beds creaked loudly, the toilet had to be manually stopped from running, and the fridge was clogged with six inches of ice. Bathroom fixtures were rusty, and the only improvement was the new flooring.

There’s plenty of parking and the hotel is within walking distance of Longo's grocery store, Cobs bakery, Swiss Chalet, Tim Horton, Starbucks, Firehouse Subs, and Pizza Hut. I appreciated having a tub, though there was no plug until the front desk quickly fetched one from maintenance. Breakfast lacked bananas and hard‑boiled eggs, and the coffee was mediocre. Room 208 needs regrouting around the tub and a bath plug, which was missing.

“High value, for such a sad stay.”

It was convenient to nearby amenities and the bathroom was well stocked, but the property looked very run‑down with makeshift “bandaid fixes” everywhere. Painters were on site, yet their tools and equipment were scattered across the hotel even after they left for the night, and the room doors didn’t shut properly.

The spot was close to the venue, near a restaurant and a shopping mall, though the town’s vibe has shifted over the years; some spots are really nice, and the food and drinks were a solid pick.
