Lichtenberger Hof

“der Aufenthalt hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, especially the excellent breakfast, which was a great value at 10 euros. The spread was generous, and I appreciated being able to store my beer without extra charge. The owner was a character, but very friendly, making it an ideal spot for travelers and businesspeople. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I found the price-performance ratio to be optimal.

I was pleased with the convenient parking spot right in front of the hotel, and it was only a 9-minute walk to the construction site. However, the sloping ceiling in the room was quite low at 1.80 meters, which made it a bit challenging to move around.

“günstig übernachten”

The beds and mattresses were comfortable, and I had no issues with the warm water in the shower. However, the TV on the wall didn't receive any channels, and the staff didn't fix it during my stay. The room was also quite cold at night, and there was no breakfast available. Additionally, the room was located on the second floor and didn't have a lift.

“unverschämt”

Unfortunately, our stay started on a sour note when we were greeted with hostility and informed that the accommodation couldn't be booked for just one night, despite having made the reservation eight weeks in advance. To make matters worse, the hotel hadn't cancelled our booking, which meant we had to wait a while for customer service to assist us. The whole ordeal was quite frustrating.

“Unfreundlich und pampiger Gastgeber”

I was taken aback when I arrived at the hotel and was told that they didn't allow bookings for just one night, despite this not being mentioned anywhere on the booking page. I had already received a booking confirmation, but it seemed like they weren't willing to honor it. We ended up being turned away, which was really inconvenient.
