The countryside setting is lovely, though the restaurant staff’s pace was a bit slow and we had to wait a little too long during dinner.

A wonderful hotel just outside Flein in the beautiful countryside among the vineyards. Around the hotel you can walk along the wine farms and fields of vines and fruit trees, and the hilly terrain sometimes offers stunning views. The hotel has a spacious parking lot with charging facilities for electric cars. We had a nice room on the first floor with a pleasant patio (indoor balcony). The room was roomy, had a mini‑fridge (empty) and a firm bed, and we didn’t hear any rooster in the morning. We slept wonderfully! The entire entrance was recently renovated and modernised, including a glass elevator. In the evening after arrival we ate deliciously on the restaurant’s beautiful balcony overlooking the landscape. The restaurant was very good, offering plenty of tasty dishes, and the wines and beers were delightful. We also enjoyed a great breakfast with plenty of choices, fresh rolls, cold cuts, fruit, and even sparkling wine/cava/prosecco. A fantastic hotel in a fantastic setting! The location is perfect for a stopover on a trip to or from Austria and Italy. Above all, the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that the charging station at the hotel could only be used if the reception had linked the charging box number to your account; you could pay in cash and get a receipt for reimbursement from your leasing company. Because of that, we chose not to charge our car there. The bathroom was outdated and a bit old‑fashioned, but it was very clean and tidy.
