“Bonne adresse pour dormir en ville”
I arrived around 21h and was greeted by a charming gentleman with a warm southern vibe, which was really pleasant. The hotel is old but the newly renovated room was impeccably clean. The only downsides during my short stay were the cotton‑blend sheets that made me sweat at night, and the breakfast costing 14€ with basic Lipton tea, Président butter, Danone yoghurts, probably Herta ham, low‑quality cheese, canned orange juice, and no eggs—either scrambled or poached—making it feel like a Formula 1 industrial canteen rather than a place known for sheep cheese and Bayonne ham. That said, the location is good, facing the train station and a stone’s throw from the historic centre of this beautiful city, so it’s a solid address if you’re not as picky about natural products.
