“It was wonderful”
The food and service were wonderful, and the location was exceptional. The bungalow was spotless, but the golf cart wasn’t cleaned; I had to wipe down the windshield after rain and dust had built up.

Everything was outstanding: the island, the rooms, the gym (fantastic), the restaurants, the staff, and so on. Nothing to complain about; everything was exceptional.

The only good thing was the staff and the view. Thanks to GianCarlos, Thaw, Joselyn, Pedro, Jose, Cameron, Nicole, the entire crew at the Hangover Bar, Jason, Jerome, Evelyn, Victor, and Ashanti for their help. But everything else was a huge let‑down. The food was awful—inedible, truly horrible. Requests for food and drinks were ignored even though we sent them months in advance. The room smelled like sewage, and the AC failed in 100‑degree heat. There was no glass‑bottom kayak as advertised. We had to wait over two hours at the airport on arrival because the resort wouldn’t answer our calls while employees came and went. Bars ran out of Jameson and Corona. The outlets next to the bed didn’t work for charging phones. Rain showers sprayed the bathroom floor, a real nightmare to clean daily. Toiletries were very limited. The beaches were full of rocks, making them hard to enjoy without pool shoes, which weren’t sold on the property. They advertised fishing but didn’t have proper gear (clear liters). Restaurants lacked AC, making it miserable to sit in 100‑plus‑degree heat. They also advertised diving but had no tanks; you’d end up diving 25 ft+ with no air, dangerous even for experienced divers. A few employees told us the work environment had become “toxic” since the new owners took over, which is sad because that’s the only positive of the resort.

The place was uncrowded, giving plenty of space to enjoy the beach privately. The location is gorgeous and you can access it directly from your room. Vegetarian options are available at meals, and there’s a mix of activities along with leisure time to appreciate the surroundings.
