“proprietaria inopportuna e non accogliente”
I’ve been traveling for work to a B&B every day for five days a week for over 20 years, and this was the first time I had a similar experience. The house was well finished and equipped with comforts. After returning from dinner at 22:00, we wanted to put two bottles of water in the fridge for the next day. Unfortunately, the mini‑fridge was either not working or set almost to zero, and next to it was a large fridge with its power plug disconnected. We plugged the fridge’s power cord to keep our bottles cool, and exactly two minutes after the window door opened, four hands burst in (as if we’d robbed a jewelry store!). At first I didn’t know who could be there at that hour… I approached the door to open it, but it was locked from the outside and I couldn’t open it from the inside. Shortly after, the owner came through that door (while we were staying in our booked room) and stormed into the house, shouting at us and saying we had attached a fridge that belonged to them! I explained that we needed to keep our water cool and that her abrupt entry into the house we had booked was inappropriate (and I wondered how she could have heard we attached the fridge!). Even more absurd, instead of apologizing and respecting our privacy, she called her husband to “raise the stakes,” saying she would call the carabinieri. Hospitality is probably not a term she knows, nor the basics of good manners and respect for privacy. A bad experience.
“A quaint and beautiful place to stay in an amazing town with great people!”
Getting there and reaching the city center was easy, but the place had no A/C, which isn’t surprising for a small town in Italy.
Great place, very clean and comfortable. Ideal location near the shop and the center of the Sturno village. The owners are very friendly, made us feel very welcomed and couldn’t do enough for us. We’re definitely coming back soon. Sturno is a charming place, very tranquil and beautiful. It’s located in the middle of the valley, very green, with forest around it and lively, fresh air.
The structure is clean and welcoming, and the owners are very helpful. The breakfast is minimal but more than sufficient, and the positive is that they allow you to be very independent with your schedule.
“A wonderful cozy home to plan a stay in a beautiful rural Italian town. The people are just as nice!”
The home is very nice and a perfect place to stay in a beautiful small Italian town. It was a little warm without air conditioning but still nice
