The pousada was pleasant, well‑located, and overall the stay was calm, but the checkout was very uncomfortable and left a bad impression. Before arriving, I confirmed we would be two people and would stay in a room with a double bed, yet we were moved to a room with three single beds. I didn’t complain about that change. What really left a negative impression was the checkout. I was told a fee of R$ 200 would be charged if towels were stained with makeup. At departure, they pointed out stains on a pillowcase, comforter, and blanket and charged me R$ 360, claiming the items could no longer be used and would have to be discarded. I found the charge excessive, especially since no proof was given that the stains couldn’t be removed by washing. If they were truly to be discarded, I regret not asking to receive the items I paid for. I understand a charge for permanent damage, but I don’t find it reasonable to treat a soiled item as inevitably ruined without showing that it couldn’t be recovered. This incident ruined the entire experience.
