“Great experience from initial booking through to check in.”
It wasn’t a great location, only 2km to the wedding I was attending. The ambiance was great.

We've been coming to the Grange for 15 years, and it’s always been cozy and well suited to what we need. The new owners have spruced up the grounds, which is a nice upgrade. Inside the cottages, though, things feel a bit worn and the cleanliness slipped in some spots. The kitchen sink had water stains on the taps, the bathroom tap had water marks and a splash of toothpaste in the main bathroom, and the fridge was covered in finger prints on the front. Some of the crockery was dirty too. The attention to detail was missing this time, and my son, who stayed in a room the week after us, pointed out the same issues in his room.

The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. We didn’t see or need staff at all during our stay. There were some nice places to eat within walking distance. The pillows were a bit high and hard. The sliding door to the bathroom caught on the screws for the air‑conditioner remote, making it very noisy when opened at night. It was hard to get a taxi or Uber to pick us up from the accommodation.

The room at The Venu was surprisingly quiet and roomy, and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The bed felt comfortable and the corner spa bath was huge, which made the stay feel pretty luxurious. The only thing that bugged me was having to wash the dishes because they weren’t clean when we got them.

Peppertree Cottage sits on a vineyard and is both quiet and cozy, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners stocked the place with wine, olive oil, milk, snacks, coffee and tea, and the separate bedrooms each have their own bathroom and a king‑size bed that can be split. The kitchen is well equipped, the gas fire is perfect for chilly evenings, and there’s air‑conditioning for the hot days—definitely a spot we’d book again.
