The house was huge, giving us plenty of space to spread out. Breakfast rolls were delivered right to our door each morning, which was spot on. They also treated us to a very generous invitation at Schnitzhof Alm, and overall the days in Abtenau were truly relaxing.

We couldn’t use the balcony at all because a nest of hornets and wasps had taken up residence there, which was a real disappointment.

The check‑in felt personal and friendly, and the staff gave us a thorough tour of the well‑equipped house, pointing out the sauna and pool. They also arranged fresh pastries for breakfast and even suggested some good local restaurants.
