Wotton House is a 13-acre estate nestled in the Surrey countryside, 3 miles outside of Dorking. Breakfast was decent, though if you arrived around 7 am it was cold. The grounds and building were fine. The menu was limited, and the evening meal was neither tasty nor worth the price. The fish and chips were a disappointment—the batter on the fish was rock hard, the fish felt dry and not fresh, while the chips were okay. The hallway in the bedroom area looked a bit faded and shabby.

The hotel staff were amazing; I can’t say enough good things and I’ll definitely stay again. The only negative was that it was fantastic for a wedding.

Stunning building and grounds. Breakfast and bar area were excellent. Very comfortable bed. Room and other areas desperately need some work, rotten window frames etc. No shower in the bathroom (only a bath) and fire alarm went off at 7am!!

Wotton House sits nicely and is generally quiet at night, and its proximity to the M52 made it a convenient stop‑over. The exterior is grand and stately, but the wing with most of the rooms feels bland and like a budget hotel. The restaurant, while large and clean, is modern and feels out of place in a manor house.

Room was comfortable, food exceptional location is beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. More attention needed in the pool area as some young ladies were filming themselves but there were minors in the pool area. Also minors in the jacuzzi when the sign clearly states over 16s
