The gentleman at reception was very polite and friendly, and they waited for us for a late check-in, which we really appreciated. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked well, and towels and all the basic necessities were provided. The room was quite worn and could definitely use some renovation, although we were warned about some of the issues in advance. The main problem is the price — it feels very high for this level of accommodation, probably because there are only a few motels in the area and not much choice

The windows and doors were filthy and clearly needed cleaning or replacement, and there were spiders crawling along the floor and the wall beside the bed. The TV and cable box were completely non‑functional. The place was absolutely dirty, though I have to admit the beds were comfortable and the linens had a fresh scent. The room really needs help—there were huge spider webs and spiders near the bed, the curtains were ragged and worn, and I couldn't wait to leave. Northern Ontario really falls short on accommodations.

It feels like the 80s, but everything else is brand new (great job!), except the comments about our room scared me. The place is super clean and I could definitely come back to this room. I shut all the windows because I didn't want to see “snakes”; maybe they should think about safety, not just a chain on the bedroom door.
