The hosts were great and handled everything without any hassle. The room was clean, spacious, and felt very homely, and the bed was very comfortable. The pub below offered fantastic ales, great locals, and a live music set on Sunday evenings. I’d definitely book again; it’s a 10 out of 10.

The room was beautifully furnished and comfortable in a small pub setting. The bar got busy in the evenings with quiz nights and live music, but the upstairs noise never reached us. The staff were super friendly and the place was very dog‑friendly. The only downside was that no food was served at the bar, though there are plenty of nearby options.

The pub’s location is super convenient for Newcastle centre. I liked the bejou‑style comfort and style of the room, and the chance to enjoy an atmospheric, bustling pub. The owners really put effort into styling the room, making it a far nicer stay than a Premier or Travelodge, with a large TV, coffee, tea, snacks, and a great ensuite. The price matched what it offered. The only issue was that our room was close to the road, so morning traffic made it hard to sleep. The hot tap in the bath/shower had a faulty washer that needed replacing; it seemed off but kept running later. The room isn’t suited to those seeking peace and tranquility, but we knew there would be live music and karaoke until 11 pm, so we embraced the vibe, had a few pints, and enjoyed it.
