Nothing really appealed to me. The resort’s maintenance was poor, insects were flying everywhere and there didn’t seem to be any pest control. Public areas weren’t cleaned, making the place feel more like a low‑grade accommodation than a hotel or resort—very disappointing and unlikely to bring guests back. This was my first time staying at such a bad resort.

“Last minute booking was a blessing”

Being a short walk from the bustling Main Street yet still close to the beach and night market was convenient; the staff were friendly and helpful, the pool was clean with plenty of lounge chairs, and I liked that breakfast ran until 10 am. The only downside was that I had to walk to their sister hotel to use the gym because theirs was under renovation; the Haya gym has working equipment but needs some upkeep.

We stayed at Palma Resort Phu Quoc and it was a blast. Even though it’s only a 3‑star place, the vibe feels like a cozy family gathering right from the start. It sits right in the middle of the island, close to the beach and the town, so it’s super handy for exploring. The rooms are bungalow‑style with terraces that look out over the pool, making for a chill and relaxing spot. Everything was spotless, comfy, and fully equipped. The real highlight is the calm setting paired with staff who are friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful.
