Right in the heart of Sg Lembing Town. The night can get noisy with locals chatting past midnight, but I was so exhausted that I drifted off. It’s a small town, so the chatter is normal, though it’s all in Chinese so I couldn’t join the gossip 🤣🤣.

The location was excellent, surrounded by restaurants, a market nearby and street vendors selling local delicacies in the morning, with Linming Mountain and the Linming Museum just behind. The room, however, had no bathroom; you had to go downstairs to use the few shared facilities, which isn’t suitable for older guests, and there was no elevator. The water flow in the bathroom was very weak, and the hot‑water tank delivered only a small amount, making showers take longer. The room was tiny, sound‑proofing was poor, and the wooden floor transmitted every footstep from outside, making it noisy.

The staff here is super friendly, which is a big plus. However, I was a bit miffed when I found out that the room I booked had a shared bathroom outside with other rooms - not exactly what I was expecting. Luckily, the owner was willing to upgrade me to a better room for a reasonable price, which was a relief. The town itself is pretty quiet, with a lot of businesses closed down, so it's not exactly a hub of activity.

This place has a great location and a really nice building that's super calming to be in. The only thing that's a bit of a letdown is that it's not exactly the cleanest or quietest place - but I guess that's a small price to pay for the peaceful atmosphere.
